Cream, born 3rd November 1970 in Holland Park Clinic Flatbush Brooklyn!
Cream started rapping at the tender age of 12 yrs old and has his first record deal with RCA at age 16, his 1st release “Cream’s coming at ya” was an instant hit in America and set Cream on a hit list for head-hunters in the Music industry.
At age 18 he became a writer and performer with Bad Boy Entertainment co-writing Ma$e’s Hit record “Feel so Good“ and Luniz Hit record “I got 5 on it”.
This made Cream the Front man for the Hip Hop Group “Dead Poets”.
Dead Poets were a 3 man group including “Design, Zack G & Cream”, They had hit records out such as “It don’t mean a thang & Celebration”
In 1990 at the age of 20yrs old Cream was on a world tour with Dead Poets as part of a Bad Boy Production when the tour was cut short as Cream & fellow Group member Design went to The Roxy Nightclub in Harlem where Cream was involved in a gun wielding argument with another up and coming rap star called “Hijack”
Hijack shot Cream twice in his kidney which left Cream bleeding on the street, Cream then shot Hijack in his pelvis which killed Hijack 11 minutes later, Cream was rushed to hospital then later arrested for Murder but then later charged with manslaughter which Cream served 5yrs & 4 Months in Oz penitentiary.
When Cream was released from jail he was back in the studio working on new album called “Playahataz” which was a huge success in America and contained the hit record “Celebration” this record put Cream on the European map as being one of the biggest selling dance remixes of kool & the gangs original version.
Creams father is Kat van Buren who is one of the world’s best percussion players and is Group member of the Infamous Santana Family, Kat had lived between NYC & London for many yrs and told Cream he had a place in UK if he wanted it, Cream thought it was much easier to tour Europe from UK than American and made the move to base himself in UK. Cream has now been based in the UK since 1999 and has had more success in Europe than America.
